Story #14 - Samara talks to Emma about her Halloween birthday party, Eastern time: 2:10 pm, October 17
"Wait up, Emma!" Samara yelled while running to catch up with Emma so she could walk and talk with her about her upcoming Halloween birthday party on next Saturday, October 29. "Hi, what's up, Sam?" Emma smiled and looked happy to see Samara. "I want to walk with you to Mr. Harris class, and ask you about who you're gonna invite to your Halloween birthday party on next Saturday?"the girls continued to walk and talk. "Oh, I thought I told you already, well, I am definitely inviting all of my close friends like you, Mark, Michelle, Julian, and David, along with a few more friends from class and the neighborhood." Emma said. Samara looked concerned and said, "Oh no, please tell me that you are not inviting that girl that lives next door to you, what's her name.....Malita, Bonita? She has been very mean to you lately!" Samara said. "You mean, Moneesha? I am afraid that if I do not invite her, then she will be even meaner to me!" Samara thought about it for a second and decided to accept her decision, "Okay, well anyway, what costume are you going to wear?" Since this was a Halloween birthday party, Emma has decided to have her guests dress up in costumes. "I think I want to be a princess." Emma said. "That's cool, a little lame, but cool." Samara smirked. "Lame? Why do you say that?" Emma frowned up a little at Samara. "It is just so lame for a girl to always want to be a princess, a fairy, a cheerleader, or other girlie things. What if I decided to be an astronaut, a ball player, or a super hero!?" Samara explained. "My mommy said that girls can be whatever they want to be, so I am going to get creative with my costume!" They were sitting down in Mr. Harris' classroom and the bell has just rung. "Okay, boys and girls, we are going to discuss your homework that I gave you last week." Mr. Harris said. Samara and Emma stopped their conversation about her party to pull out their homework assignment from last week so that they can participate in the review of the homework assignment.
