Story #2 - Samara's Topic

"I think I know what I want to do my report on, mommy!" Samara shouted. "What my dear, what have you decided to do your report on?" her mother said. "I love flowers! So, I will do my report on a beautiful flower! Maybe a rose? A carnation? No! A lily! Yes, a lily! I just love lilies!" Samara said, and her mother just smiled and said, "That's great, Samara, lilies are very beautiful and come in many beautiful colors: yellow, pink, white, which color would you like?" Samara thought for a moment and said with excitement, "Yellow!" Samara remembered that her mother had a garden full of beautiful lilies in her garden. She also remembered that she was already growing lilies in her room after her mother helped her plant it in her very own flower pot last fall. It was growing beautifully in her room at this time, and new flowers were almost ready to bloom!
